Meet us in person
We attend a range of events to meet landowners and give advice and guidance on maintaining, enhancing, and planting new woodland, trees, and hedgerows.
We will also advise landowners and communities on the development of our Forest Plan that will lay out our approach to nature recovery by protecting, improving, and connecting our woodlands, trees, and hedgerows whilst promoting habitat connectivity and species migration across North East England.
Furthermore, we will provide advice on our Trees for Climate grant, which can cover up to 100% of costs for woodland creation, tree, and hedgerow planting, including up to 15 years of establishment and maintenance payments, The grant can support planting of whip/feathered/standard trees, hedgerows with in-hedge trees, community planting, farm woodlands and more.
We have good local knowledge and work effectively with the landowner to align our TfC grant to their needs. Our woodland officers can give expert local advice to landowners on how to make the best nature recovery possible that is bespoke to the site.
We offer free advice on Trees for Climate and the other tree planting grant schemes which are available and can help you develop proposals and secure Forestry Commission regulatory approvals.
